What an enjoyable stay, no reason to complain. Amicable staff, exceptional services, and best possible location adjacent to so many shops plus SALALAH GARDEN mall, the beach and SALALAH GARDEN mall. Sensational breakfast and large, silent rooms. Particularly nice view over mountain...

I recently spent some time at the Salalah international hotel, and I have to say, there were some ups and downs worth sharing. First off, the location was pretty great—right in the city center, so it was super easy to get around. The room I had was nice and clean, which is always a big plus for me. The staff? They were truly fantastic. Always ready to help out, from the reception folks to the housekeeping team. A shoutout to Tushar, who prepped our room—what a gem he is! Now onto the breakfast spread—wow! There was a huge selection. I enjoyed everything from fresh croissants and coffee to a solid full English breakfast. I particularly loved the dates they served on arrival; I even asked for seconds! the experience wasn’t without hiccups. The gym equipment wasn’t working, which I kind of expected a bit more from a hotel of this caliber. No deal-breaker for me, but just a little disappointing. When I arrived, I had a bit of a nightmare with the taxi service. The driver literally couldn't find the hotel! I called the front desk four times for help, but no one picked up. It took nearly an hour to get there instead of the usual 5-7 minutes. I reported this later, and management offered me a free breakfast, which I decided to decline—it felt a bit too little, given the hassle. As for the room, I found it a tad cramped for two people. The air conditioning had no sleep mode, and I had to deal with a pretty strong draft, which was a bit unbearable at night. The hot water situation was a joke too; it ran out in like four minutes. I also came back to find my room not cleaned after a long day out, and they said it was upon my request. That was really disappointing. The noise from the street could get pretty loud—my room wasn’t soundproofed at all, so I ended up using earplugs to get through the night. Windows could definitely use some soundproofing! I also noticed that there were no guides in the room about services and facilities; it was completely empty. A little confusing, right? And the shower definitely could use a door. The lack of proper facilities made things feel a bit disorganized. On the upside, I loved the convenience of being near a Carrefour for grocery shopping and that there were several places to eat within walking distance, including local joints. It wasn't all bad, but I think if some of the service elements were spruced up, this place could be so much better!
